Greek Mythology Of Seahorses
The scientific name for a seahorse is a Hippocampus. The area of the hippocampus is shaped a bit like a seahorse, and it also the site of the epileptic focus in some people living with epilepsy. Due to greek mythology meaning, it has been the animal symbol for epilepsy, just like the color purple is for epilepsy.
